History and background of Trussardi. Dante Trussardi started this business as a glove-maker in 1910. His grandson, Nicola Trussardi, recently was in the news due to a tragic car accident. Nicola inherited the business in 1970 from his brother (who also died in a car accident) and expanded the family business in fine leather goods and accessories, and ready-to-wear lines for men, women and children.
